The state, whose only duty and right in a liberal society is to ensure that human relations, including business relations, are exempt of violence, is an essentially illiberal institution. True liberalism, which we may call "anarcho-liberalism", should abolish the state - and thereby lead to anarchism, i.e., a division of power based on might: for liberty and the state are mutually exclusive.
